<br />Location.--Water-stage recorder, 1at 37041'2011, long 10602713011 J in NWt sec. 29, T. 40 N.,
<br />H. b ~., on right bank, 20 ft downstream from county highway bridge, 5 miles upstream
<br />from Pinos Creek, and 6 miles west of Del Norte. Datum of gage is 7,980.25 ft above
<br />mean sea level, datum of 1929. Prior to May 16, 1908, staff gage at site 4 miles
<br />downstream. Records are equivalent.
<br />
<br />Drainage area.--l,320 sq mi, approximately.
<br />
<br />Average discharge.--7l years (1890-1960) 924 cfs (668,900 acre-ft per year).
<br />
<br />Extremes.--1889-l960: Maximum discharge, 18,000 cfs Oct. 5,1911 (gage height, 6.80 ft),
<br />from rating curve extended above 6,000 cfs; minimum daily, 69 cfs Aug. 21, 1902.

<br />Remarks.--Records excellent except for some winter months, which are fair.

<br />for Platoro Reservoir and half a mile northwest of Platoro. Datum of gage is
<br />9,866.60 ft above mean sea level (levels by Bureau of Reclamation). .

<br />Avera~e discharge.--8 years (1953-60) 83.9 cfs (60,740 acre-ft per year).

<br />above station. Flow completely regulated by Platoro Reservoir (capacity,
