<br />-4- <br /> <br />The Water Resources Planning Act (PL 89-80), in establishing <br />the Water Resources Council (WRC), declares a policy of close co- <br />operation between the Council and States in planning for use of <br />the Nation's water and related land resources. The Council's <br />Rules and Regulations, Sec. 70l.62, provide for the establish- <br />meht of standing advisory committees which shall consider <br />specific problems referred to them by the Councilor by the <br />Director and may consider other items as they deem appropriate. <br />The Standing State Advisory Committee to the Water <br />Resources Council was created in 1971, in accordance with the <br />WRC rules and regulations, by agreement between the WRC and <br />ICWP. <br /> <br />0713 <br />
