Glen Canyon Dam - Intlow to Lake Powell the past couple months has been above average in
response to an active summer monsoon. Unregulated inflow to Lake Powell was 1,17 million
acre-feet (192 percent of average) in August, and 0.81 million acre-feet (170 percent of average) in
September. Because of this unusually high inflow, Lake Powell has remained quite full. Lake
Powell reached a peak elevation of 3694,7 feet (5.3 feet from full) on July 16. Since this time, the
lake elevation has dropped 4.1 feet. The curren! elevation of Lake Powell is 3690.6 feet.

Releases from Glen Canyon Darn during October will average about 17,500 cfs, Fluctuations will
generally vary between a low of about 12,500 cfs to a high of about 20,000 cfs, Releases will be
lower on Sundays with a daily average of about 16,000 cfs. The volume of water scheduled to be
released in October is 1.05 million acre-feet. Releases in November and December will likely be
similar to October. The current schedule shows 1,05 and 1.1 million acre-feet of water being
released in November and December, respectively.

Inflow to Lake Powell during 1999 was close 10 average. Water year 1999 unregulated inflow was
12,7 million acre-feet (108 percent of average). April through July represents the runoff period in the
Colorado River basin. April through July unregulated inflow to Lake Powell in water year 1999 was
7.62 million acre-feet (99 percent of average).
