<br />Glen Canyon Dam - Intlow to Lake Powell the past couple months has been above average in <br />response to an active summer monsoon. Unregulated inflow to Lake Powell was 1,17 million <br />acre-feet (192 percent of average) in August, and 0.81 million acre-feet (170 percent of average) in <br />September. Because of this unusually high inflow, Lake Powell has remained quite full. Lake <br />Powell reached a peak elevation of 3694,7 feet (5.3 feet from full) on July 16. Since this time, the <br />lake elevation has dropped 4.1 feet. The curren! elevation of Lake Powell is 3690.6 feet. <br /> <br />Releases from Glen Canyon Darn during October will average about 17,500 cfs, Fluctuations will <br />generally vary between a low of about 12,500 cfs to a high of about 20,000 cfs, Releases will be <br />lower on Sundays with a daily average of about 16,000 cfs. The volume of water scheduled to be <br />released in October is 1.05 million acre-feet. Releases in November and December will likely be <br />similar to October. The current schedule shows 1,05 and 1.1 million acre-feet of water being <br />released in November and December, respectively. <br /> <br />Inflow to Lake Powell during 1999 was close 10 average. Water year 1999 unregulated inflow was <br />12,7 million acre-feet (108 percent of average). April through July represents the runoff period in the <br />Colorado River basin. April through July unregulated inflow to Lake Powell in water year 1999 was <br />7.62 million acre-feet (99 percent of average). <br />
