These assignments will allow us to do a lot <br />of good for Colorado in the coming two years," Senator Allard said, <br /> <br />"Energy and water issues are critical to our slate. Energy production is a significant segment of the Colorado economy,'~ <br />the Senator said. "And I don't tl1ink 1l1ave to remind Coloradans how important water, water projects and water agreements <br />are to our continuing growth and prosperity." <br /> <br />"Guaranteeing the security of our homeland is important to every American, and of intense interest to Coloradans. I <br />look forward to working to define our country's homeland security priorities, and to make sure thai our state's public <br />protection agencies receive the federal support they deserve." <br /> <br />"Finally, more than $ 5,5 billion was appropriated by the Military Construction Subcommittee for FY 2005. In a time of <br />war, I anticipate that amount will increase during the next fiscal year," Senator Allard said.
