<br />r- <br />r- <br />~ <br />N <br /> <br />t;. <br /> <br />-';':"'.-:_',,',- - <br /> <br />(h) The Bureau of Reclamation shall keep the District Engineer, <br />Corps of Engineers, Department of the Army, in charge of the l.ocal.ity, <br />currentl.y advised of reservoir release, reservoir storage, and such <br />other operating data as the District Engineer may request, and also <br />of those basic operating criteria that affect the schedule of operation. <br /> <br />(i) The flood-control regulations of this section are subject to <br />temporary modification by the District Engineer, Corps of Engineers, if <br />found necessary in t1me of emergency. Requests for and action on such <br />modifications may be made by any available means of communication, and <br />the action taken by the District Engineer shall be confirmed in writing <br />under date of same day to the office of the Regional Director of the <br />Bureau of Reclamation in charge of operations. Releases made in accord- <br />ance with the regulations in thl.S section shall not be required at <br />rates or in a 1IIlIDI1er that would be inconsistent with the requirements <br />for protecting Hoover Dam and Lake Mead or downstream dalll8 and tohe <br />levee systelllS in the Needles, Parker, Blythe, and YWIl8 areas from lIl8Jor <br />damage. In the event of danger of I118Jor damage to or failure of s,uch <br />dams or levee systems the releases required by the regulations of this <br />section III8Y be temporarily adjusted by the Bureau of Reclamation pend- <br />ing action of the District Engineer, Corps of Engineers, on request for <br />approval of such adJustlll8nt. <br /> <br />:."" <br /> <br />(J) Revisions of the Tables of Minimum Average Releases for Flood- <br />Control Purposes lIl8Y be developed from tiDle to t1me as necessary by the <br />Corps of Engineers and the Bureau of Reclamation. Each such revision <br />shall be effective upon the date specified in the approval thereof by <br />the Chief of Engineers and the Commissioner of Reclalll8tion and from <br />that date until replaced shall be the Tables of MinilllUlll Average Releases <br />for Flood..control Purposes currently in force for purposes of this <br />section. Copies of the Tables of Minimum Average Releases for Flood- <br />Control currently in force shall be kept on file in and may be obtained <br />from the offices of the Chief of Engineers, Departlllent of the Army, and <br />the CoDllll1ssioner of Reclamation, Washington, D.
