Reconnaissance level evaluations of water and related land
resources for a selected region or river basin. (Fxamples;
Framework Studies; Regional or River Basin level B Studies;
Subregional analyses; and others).

Preliminary or detailed investigations of the feasibility
of a program or project or the desinn. (Examples; reVlew
or survey reports, feasibility studies, resource evaluations).

Actual construction of authorized projects or implementation
of authorized programs. (Examples; P.L. 566, assistance in
coordination, Fish and Wildlife Research programs).

To obtain a true portrait of the program funding reported by each State

and Federal agency and included in this report, one must study the program

information records, which list the individual programs by State and Federal

agency.
