This triggered the start of the account system we
have been using at John Martin Reservoir for the last three years.
Kansas didn't call for any water for their irrigators till June 21st, 1982.
This, we believe, is one of the advantages of the account system; that
one state doesn't have to call when the other does for self protection.
During the irrigation season there was 38,006.03 acre feet of water
released from John Martin conservation pool for Kansas irrigators.
There was 58,952.51 acre feet of water released from the conservation

50
