A general assessment of the quantity of riverine roosting habitat is available from the BOR GIS database, based on channel widths and the absence of nearby developments, and would be adequate as a baseline for monitoring. A general assessment of the quality of riverine roosting habitat (in relation to flow) would be available from the updated whooping crane roost model, when it is completed. Updated river profiles may be needed to support use of this model as a means of assessing habitat quality. The locations and size ofbonomland grasslands and marshes will be available from the BOR . GIS database and would provide an adequate baseline for assessing future changes.
