It will link these <br />activities to the project's schedule, particularly major decision <br />points. It will give citizens a better understanding of what to <br />expect from the project. Lastly, it will provide a mechanism for <br />managers to consider program implementation needs. Because work <br />plans are public information documents, they should be made <br />easily available. <br /> <br />\ <br /> <br />This work plan will be of sufficient scope and detail to <br />indicate the adequacy of proposed public participation <br />activities. The work plan will indicate which consultation <br />techniques will be used, each activity's purpose and target <br />audience, planned publicity, descriptions of information tools <br />(fact sheets, newsletters, etc.), and approximate completion <br />dates. <br /> <br />Specifically, the Clean Water Act regulations require that <br />public participation work plans contain the following <br />information: <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />a schedule indicating when key decisions will be made <br />and what opportunities exist for public participation <br />in the key decisions. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />major public participation activities and objectives <br />related to key decision points and tasks (i.e., <br />sequence of distribution of information, workshops and <br />meetings, hearings, etc.) <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />the major publiCS that will be involved <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />budget by category, (i.e., publications and media <br />campaigns, hearings, work shops, etc.), including <br />resources available to the advisory committee <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />indication that a PJblic participation responsiveness <br />summary will be pr~red which describes measures <br />brought before the pUblic at key decision points, the <br />public response, and the agency's response as to how <br />the plan was affected by significant input <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />description of the membership, meeting schedule, and <br />general responsibilities of advisory committee <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />training of advisory committee <br />
