Red Wash Launch area (RMI - 298.57298.0), Sportsman's Drain (RMI 296.5),
Greasewood Corral (RMI 251.9), and Old Charlie Inlet (RMI 251.8). In the lower
Green River, sampling efforts will be concentrated at near town of Green River (RMI
120.0), mouth of San Rafael River (RMI 97.0), Potato Bottom (RMI 38.0737.0),
Millard Canyon (RMI 33.5), Anderson Bottom/Bonita Bend (RMI 31.5731.0), and
Holeman Canyon (RMI 27.8). Sampling will be conducted at each site twice weekly
during at least early/mid May7mid June. The sampling period will be adjusted based on
timing and duration of spring flows, onset of mainchannel water temperatures $ 140C,
and temporal occurrence of larvae. Each habitat at each sampling time will be sampled
with at least three light traps and possibly three seine hauls (number of collections will
depend on size and
complexity of habitats). It is often effective to set light traps in or near emergent
vegetation. Larger fish identifiable in the field will counted and measured on site and
released alive. Other fish will be euthanized with an overdose of tricaine
methanesulfonate (MS-222), preserved in 100% ethanol, and returned to the laboratory
for processing. Units of effort will be hours each light trap is set during darkness and
area sampled by each seine haul. Water temperatures at monitoring sites will be
recorded using StowAwayTM Enhanced Temperature Loggers.

Page 6 of _
