<br />forest lands, All ports of these acquired lands not needed for actual
<br />use in cOllneelion with reclmnat.ion works would, under the provisions
<br />of subsection 4(") of the bills, become national forest lands. This
<br />would faeilitate effective find economical aJmioistrntion of these lands
<br />by ibis Deportment find would permit thci~' d~velopment n.nd mnnngc-
<br />ment as national forest lands under the prtnClples of multiple use and
<br />sustained yield, and at the saIne time would provide pl'ot.ection to
<br />thp reclamation wOJ'ks.
