<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Agenda Item 11 <br />August 10, 1990 <br /> <br />While Congressman Campbell succeeded in getting this <br />prOV1Slon out of the bill during committee mark-up, an effort <br />may well be made to reinstate it with a floor amendment in the <br />House or to put it into the Senate bill when it goes to <br />committee mark-up in that chamber during September. If applied <br />in the manner discussed above, it obviously would be <br />unacceptable to Colorado. <br /> <br />However, I believe that we could live with a ceiling for <br />each individual project if it were set at today's estimate for <br />the cost of construction, expressed in 1990 dollars, and then <br />indexed foward from 1990. I recommend that the Board so inform <br />Congressman Campbell and Senators Armstrong and Wirth in the <br />event that they find it necessary to accept some sort of change <br />in the existing aggregate ceiling for all projects. <br /> <br />JWM/gI <br /> <br />-4- <br />
