Elbert Powerplant power generation. The powerplant generated almost 28,840,000 kilowatt-hours during water year 1983 with 75,690 acre-feet of water. A portion of Twin lakes water was moved to Pueblo Reservoir throughout the winter months to make space available for the spring runoff. The water was moved due to operating the old dam and the need to store Twin Lakes Reservoir and Canal Company decreed water supply. In addition to the Twin Lakes Reservoir and Canal Company imports, the com- pany imported through their tunnel 3,120 acre-feet of water for the proj ect. An equal amount of water was bypassed into the Roari ng Fork drainage at the Hunter Creek system by the project. Twin Lakes /Mt. Elbert storage at the end of the water year was 116,350 acre-feet. 11
