<br /> <br />~ ;)~ <br /> <br />Hatchery/3 <br /> <br />The Colorado squawfish, humpback chub and bony tail chub are listed as <br />endangered under the federal Endangered Species Act. The razorback sucker has <br /> <br />been proposed for federal listing; a decision is expected in May. All four <br />fish species are endangered according to Colorado and Utah state law. <br /> <br />The proposed sites are in or near the following cities: <br /> <br />-- Alamosa, Colo.: Closed Basin Project (federal ground-water salvage <br /> <br />project) . <br /> <br />-- Craig, Colo.: CC Craig Ranch, city of Craig property near Colorado <br /> <br />Highway 394, Craig station power plant, Moffat County Fair Grounds, Craig <br />wastewater treatment plant (the old facility), Craig wastewater treatment <br />plant (the new facility) and the Craig water treatment plant. <br /> <br />-- Durango, Colo.: Rainbow Springs Fish Hatchery. <br /> <br />-- Glenwood Springs, Colo.: Glenwood Desalinization Facility. <br /> <br />-- Grand Junction, Colo.: Cameo Power Generation Station in DeBeque <br /> <br />Canyon, DeBeque Gravel Pit, Etter Pond, Horsethief Canyon, Humphrey's Pond and <br /> <br />Walter Walker State Wildlife Area. <br /> <br />-- Hayden, Colo.: Hayden Power Plant. <br /> <br />Hooper, Colo.: Crystal Properties site. <br /> <br />Hotchkiss, Colo.: Hotchkiss National Fish Hatchery, John Stroh Trout <br /> <br />Farm, McMillan Trout Farm and Ross Ranch. <br /> <br />-- Maybell, Colo.: Steele Ranch and Hereford Haven Ranch. <br /> <br />-- Monte Vista, Colo.: Clines Fish Farm. <br /> <br />-- Montrose, Colo.: Silver Springs Trout Farm. <br /> <br />-- Parachute, Colo.: Una Rond. <br />-- Rangely, Colo.: Water Users Association No. 1 (near Kenney Reservoir). <br /> <br />-- Rifle, Colo.: Rifle Falls State Fish Hatchery. <br /> <br />-- Saguache, Colo.: Range View Trout Ranch and Russell Lake State Wildlife <br /> <br />Area. <br /> <br />-- 30 -- <br />
