"This will afford all <br />parties opportunity to come together at the table, at the same time, and resolve water <br />quality issues raised by EPA and the State of New Mexico." <br /> <br />EPA has the authority to refer proposed actions to the CEQ for resolution when it <br />believes there is an unsatisfactory impact to human health or the environment" <br /> <br />"Significant progress is being made in addressing remaining issues related to <br />the Animas-La Plata project," said Cunniff, "and a referral to CEQ could impede that <br />progress." / <br /> <br />The referral period has been extended to November 25, 1996" <br />~ <br /> <br />- 001- <br />
