~ upper basin depletions above Lee Ferry compared to the total upper basin

, ')
W depletion as measured at sites of use.
-

~ Column 7 shows the total past man-made depletions as reflected in

the flow at Lee Ferry each year from trans-basin exports and from

irrigation and other minor uses, numerically the sum of Columns 5 and 6.

Column 8 presents the estimated virgin or undepleted flow of the

Colorado, River at Lee Ferry for each water year during the period 1896

through 1947 and is the sum of the historical flow of the Colorado River

at Lee Ferry and the net upper basin man-made depletion for each

corresponding year as measured at Lee Ferry.

Column 9 shows the departure of each year's virgin flow from the

1914-191+5 annual mean.

Table I has been updated as shown in Table II. As projects were

completed since 1952 it was possible to identify these depletions.

Once the virgin flows have been determined adjustments for present

level development were applied. The 1968 modified flow at Glen Canyon

Damsite evolved from three steps. The first was the computation of

present modified flows prior to the Colorado River Storage Project. The

second step was an updating of this computation to the 1965 level and the

third was an updating to the 1968 level.

The computation in the second step is shown on Table III. The third

step was accomplished by subtracting 114,000 acre-feet for every year.
