ODlli87

Section 1 - Summary

Water users in the State of Colorado have agreed to annually supply 10,825 acre feet of water to the
15-Mile Reach of the Colorado River in association with the Upper Colorado River Endangered
Fishes Recovery Program (Recovery ProgramJ. Five alternatives to supply the Recovery Program
water have been independently investigated in recent years. This report summarized and compares
these alternatives based on the previously developed information. The five alternatives presented in
this report are illustrated on Figure 1.0, and are summarized below.

FigUI'e J.OLocation of Alternatives
Legend

,1~E:::I..I...l-[D,

) ~ "_V'Jolford'Mountain ,.~ (,f
, t: Reserv~~ erh~i:6r~~"::-"\
0.=;-10 .::u JO 40Miles 0 10.83AII>::ma"veProie~ls ~-~~ j,:- i:.~---::-(-.' These two alternatives may provide an important

portion of the water commitment to the Recovery Program, but may require implementation in

combination with other sources of water supply.

~~

RECOVERY PROGRAM ALTERNATIVES
1-1
