001974

. Mancos near Towaoc, October 1943 to March 1951 with La Plata at Hesperus as key
station.
. McElmo at CO-UT Stateline, October 1928 to February 1951 with La Plata at
Hesperus as key station.
. San Iuan at Four Comers. October 1969 to September 1971 and December 1991 to
September 1992 with Shiprock and Mancos as the key stations.

2. Disaggregate missing monthly gage records into daily values: The monthly flows
extended for the above stations are disaggregated using the daily gauged flow of the
corresponding key stations. For Animas at Farmington, the extrapolated daily flows are
calculated as the daily fraction of the monthly flow ratio (extended station/key station).
For missing days in records of La Plata near Farmington, Mancos at Towaoc and
McElmo Creek at CQ-UT Stateline, the corresponding daily values from La Plata at
Hesperus were scaled by the total flow ratio (gauged station/key station) and inserted into
the record.

3. Lag and smooth daily flow records: The daily flows were lagged relative to Bluff (3 days
for Archuleta, 2 days for Farmington and La Plata, 1 day for Mancos and 0.5 day for
McElmo) and smoothed as a five-day centered running mean before calculating the daily
flow balance.

Table 2-7.
