MRR-29-1994 09:48 FROM RIVERSIDE TECHNOLOGY,INC

TO

13038664474275 P.0S

...l" ,

. a process of continuous model improvement,

The functions described illustrate two essential elements for success of the WRPM: control by the
model management office and a process of continuous improvement.

If a process of continuous improvement will ~ucceed, the source code must lielong to the State, be
well-organized and clearly verifiable, subject to modular improvement or conversion to new, object-
oriented formats, and generally be a code that all agree had a good foundation for later workers to
build on. With this in mind, the following additional requirements for the WRPM are suggested:

L Code is 100% owned by the State (absolute requirement).

2, Code is well-organized, readily adaptable to software improvements,

3, Code can be understood by future programmers.

4. As graphics improve, code is adaptable to partial graphic displays and visual outputs to instill
confidence in users.

1494

OJ.H A27j

5
