The extra-area effects activity will be included <br />in these contracts. These contractors will provide equipment and ser- <br />vices, and perform equipment site selection. There wil be one air-support <br />contract to service all areas. <br /> <br />A lot of experience and expertise has been developed in the field of <br />weather modification over the past 20 years. The people who have helped <br />to advance weather modification technology to its present state wi I I <br />comprise the teams of contractors. <br /> <br />D. Costs <br /> <br />Program cost information is presented in table 1. Costs are given on a <br />fiscal year basis. They are divided into the same activity categories <br />that appear in figure 6. The total cost for the 8 years is $88 million <br />(FY83 dollars), with an internal Reclamation cost of $19 million, or <br />22 percent ot the total. The costs shown for demonstration, transfer- <br />ability, extra-area efects, and environmental/social do not include eval- <br />uation activities.
