This would he correct if there wert' <br /> <br />an unimpeded flow to the sump area; however it is not correct 8:; <br /> <br />geologic and hydrolgic conditions restrict the underground flow <br /> <br />increasingly as the sump area is approached. <br /> <br />The opposition has stated that promotion of the Closed Basin <br /> <br />legislation was carried on in secrecy. As is pointed out else- <br /> <br />where in this rebutta I, nothing could be further from fact. Not <br /> <br />only ..as publicity given by newspapers and radio stations, .but ,tbe <br /> <br />Board has, does and will continue to invite interested persons to <br /> <br />its regularly scheduled meetings. <br /> <br />The statement was made by Mrs. Sutherland that our children <br /> <br />will inherit this legacy - we may construct a project to pay <br /> <br />a debt we never awed. Rest assured we do owe this debt.
