Bennett
CRSM Operation Procedure

INTRODUCTION

The State of Colorado has ported the current mainframe version of the USBR's Colorado
River Stream Simulation (CRSS) models to a PC for use in house and as an interim
product for the Colorado River Decision Support System. CRSS, as it currently exists,
consists of four separate programs:

. MHYDRO which prepares the hydrology data for the simulation model,
. SMDID which prepares the demand data for the simulation model,
. CRSM which performs the simulation, and
. T APEDIT which prepares output reports from the simulation model results.

This memorandum describes one approach to set up directories and execute CRSS on a
PC. Separate memorandum describe the following: General Porting procedures, CRSM
Porting to a PC, MHYDRO Porting to a PC, SMDm Porting to a PC, and TAPEDIT
Porting to a PC.

OPERATING SUMMARY

Each component of CRSS was ported to a PC using the LAHEY F77L-EM/32
FORTRAN Compiler, Revision C, January 1992. An executable version of each program
is included which should operate on your PC without recompiling. To successfully
operate the model the following directions are provided:
