<br />SUMATE <br /> <br />SURPLUS <br /> <br />UPDATE <br /> <br />WL <br /> <br />UDATE <br /> <br />WBUDGET <br /> <br />WRIOS <br /> <br />001284 <br /> <br />Subroutine SUMATE sums monthly data to obtain an <br />annual value when one is requested to be output <br />to TAPEDIT. The subroutine is called, if needed, <br />every 5 years when subroutine ACCUMUL is being <br />processed. <br /> <br />Subroutine SURPLUS computes the monthly release <br />from Lake Powell and Lake Mead. The subroutine <br />considers shortages and surpluses, environmental <br />and power constraints, downstream demands, pre- <br />dicted inflow, Criteria requirements, reservoir <br />balancing, and flood control. <br /> <br />Subroutine UPDATE updates the TQTOT table (the <br />flow in the river at each sequence point) when <br />water is routed from one location to another to <br />satisfy a shortage. <br /> <br />Function VOL computes the contents of a reser- <br />voir, given the water surface elevation. <br /> <br />Subroutine UDATE obtains the date of the run. <br /> <br />Subroutine WBUDGET creates a table of the quan- <br />tity and quality of water at every point in the <br />system. <br /> <br />Subroutine WRIOS prints what diagnostic IOS's are <br />turned on. <br /> <br />I <br />-.-- <br /> <br />2.2 Flow Charts of the Hodel <br /> <br />Two flow charts of the model are provided in this manual. <br />The first is a very general flow chart showing the order in <br />which major subrou~ines are called during a monthy time pe- <br />riod. This general flow chart is shown on figure 2-1. <br /> <br />The second flow chart is a detailed flow chart showing both- <br />the order in which subroutines are called and the hierarchy <br />of subroutines in the model. Major subroutines are described <br />in a step-by-step fashion. This detailed flow chart is found <br />in appendix A. <br /> <br />10 <br />
