Environment This Scope of Work is contingent upon the State's selection of
a computing environment including the hardware platform, the network platform, and the
database software, To date, application development has been on Silicon Graphics UNIX
machines running Infonnix software. However, it is possible that the State will switch 10
using PC machines running Windows NT, and Infonnix's Dynamic On-line Engine. This
scope contains a contingency (r ask S) which Vlill 00 executed if the State decides to
move to the NT platform.

Existin. CROSS Dataha,e The existing CRDSS database and associated software is
elUTently in use by the State and otners. It is expected to remain on line during the
developmenr ofHB - CROSS. Therefurc.this scope treats the development ofHB-
CRDSS as a new database. Following the completion of this contract, the CROSS
database is expected to be completely replaced \-vith HB . CRDSS and eventually Hydro
Base itself,

ER \\lTN ER \VIN is a software package used by the State to assist in developing and
graphically presenting the Hydro Base design. Results include SQL statements which
provide a good starting point lor building the HB - CRDSS database.

2.0 State Responsibilities
The Slate will provide the following to assist RTi in developing HB . CRDSS.

Task Sl - Hydro Base Design.
The State will provide the Hydro Base Design (Exhibit 1) and associated ERWIN files.

Task - S2 Hydro Base Data Dictionary.
The State will provide database documentation to RTi, The attribute definitions will
contain, where appropriate, the name of the Dbase file (e.g. Snn.dbf) and the name of the
Dbase field (c,g. STRNAME) from which it came. This is not intended to be pseudo
code, rat.lJer it is an aid for understanding the population of data from their existing files
to HB - CROSS.

Task - 83 Teehnical El:pertise.
The State wiJ/ supply ac.cess to, and the time of, a qualified representative who is
responsible fOr resolvilJ,g data issues and Hydro Base design issues. The State will be
available to assist RTi in developing Pseudo Code for DWR data by describing concepts
ranging from data type, to design issues, to migration constraints.
