<br />~ <br /> <br />00027~ <br /> <br />\1 <br /> <br />A-3.5 Compile available data and describe and evaluate any <br />current or planned activities and developments-- <br />regulatory or physical--at the federal, state and local <br />levels of government and by private entities to augment <br />the supply to the High Plains or to extent the <br />useful life of the remaining water resources in the <br />Ogallala Aquifer.. and their estimated costs; describe and <br />evaluate actions being taken or planned to maintain <br />or improve the quality of water in the Ogallala Aquifer <br />and the estimated costs, <br /> <br />A-3.6 In cooperation with the USGS, compile available data <br />on historic water use for various purposes in the <br />High Plains area within the state by subregions. <br /> <br />A-3,7 Project water demands over the planning period for the <br />various purposes for each of the alternative development <br />strategies by subregion. <br /> <br />A-3.B In cooperation with USGS, project the response of the <br />Ogallala Aquifer overtime by subregion for each of <br />the alternative development strategies; this must be <br />consistent with similar studies by adjoining states <br />where the Ogallala Aquifer extends across state lines; <br />existing groundwater simulation models, refined as <br />necessary, will be used where available; new models <br />will be developed as necessary and feasible within the <br />limits of available data and time. <br /> <br />A-3.9 In cooperation with the General Contractor, as to <br />future costs of energy and effects of inflation on <br />costs, develop costs of pumping from the Ogallala <br />Aquifer by subregion over the planned period. <br /> <br />Impacts <br /> <br />A-3.10 Review economic base profiles for different years <br />for the High Plains area within the state by sub- <br />region and for other areas in the state. <br /> <br />A-3.11 Evaluate previously developed input-output (1-0) models <br />for the state or for regions within the state. <br /> <br />A-3.l2 In cooperation with the General Contractor, revise <br />existing 1-0 models as necessary or develop new intra- <br />state or multistate 1-0 models with compatible <br />structures and consistent inter-industry coefficients; <br />compatibility anlong the six states in the outputs of <br />this task is essential. <br />
