(191;). Updated by personal communication Howard Funk 1981. <br />Identification and delineation of low- snd high-density breeding areas from Hopper et ale (1915). <br />Acreage estimate for high-density areas was based upon FWS!s estimate of wetland densities with Hopper et ale (197;) 6tudy areas. <br />Acreage for Honte Vista NWR was taken from the refuge annual reports which indicated an average of 6,900 acres annually <br />available far duck production. <br />Annual production estimates assumed 50-percent nest success and 6 fledglings per brood. <br />Data supporting these figures came from studies on Monte Vista NWR (Anderson 1961, Pospahala 1969, Schroeder 1972, and Robinson 1971). <br />Range of production does not include 1964 when San LUis/Head, Hlshak, and Adsms Lakes were not surveyed by Hopper et al.
