<br />II <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />OOJu28 <br /> <br />TRANSMITf AL LETTERS <br /> <br />The Federal Water Pollution Control Act requires that at least once every three years the <br />states of the Colorado River Basin review water quality standards relating to the salimty of the <br />waters of the Colorado River. The states collectively mitiate this review under the auspices of <br />the Colorado River Basin Salinity Control Forum and prepare a proposed report and, after <br />. holding public meetings, prepare a supplemental report. <br /> <br />Upon the Forum's adoption of these two reports, they are transmitted to the individual <br />states for their own independent action. The following is an example copy of the transmittal <br />letter to the Governor of the State of Ariwna. Following this letter is a listmg of the Governors <br />in each of the other six Colorado River Basin states who will receive identical letters. <br /> <br />I <br />
