For example <br />we will assume that the application will be loaded in the directory path <br />/gis/his. <br /> <br />Create an environmental variable for this path called BORAPP <br />% setenv BORAPP Igis/his <br />(put this setenv statement in the .cshrc or .login file of all people that <br />will be using the application) <br /> <br />The application uses a map library. This must first be added to the info <br />file containing libraries. <br />% cd $ARCHOME/tables <br />% info <br />> ARC <br />> SELECT LIBRARIES <br />> ADD <br />NAME> BASINS <br />LOCATION> $BORAPP/maplib/database <br />> a STOP <br />(this will probably need to be done by root) <br /> <br />Write the contents of the 1/4 inch tape to disk <br />% cd $ BORAPP , <br />% tar -xvf /dev/rstO <br /> <br />Copy the file his.aml to the atool directory <br />cp $BORAPPlborsys/amls/his.aml $ARCHOME/atool/arc/ <br />(this too will probably need to be done by root) <br /> <br />To start the application, start up ARC/INFO and type his at the Arc <br />prompt. <br />% arc <br />Arc his <br /> <br />;i <br />t <br />j <br /> <br />Ii <br />
