The Granby Pumpin~ Plant (Sheet 3, Exhibit ~) is located on the <br /> <br /> <br />north shore of Granby Reservcir in Sectioo 35. T. 3 N., R. 76 W. The building <br /> <br /> <br />is of reinforced concrete design, 59'-00" x 125'-00", and 185' high from the <br /> <br /> <br />foundation to the top of the parapet. The build ing to house three 6000 llP <br /> <br /> <br />electric motors which will drive three centrifugal pumps each with a capacity <br /> <br /> <br />of 200 cubic feet of water per second at a pumping head of 186 feet. Tho <br /> <br /> <br />pumping plant is located at Station 27 137.50 on the Granby Pump Canal line, <br /> <br /> <br />which line bears N. 340 46' E., a distance of 292.50 feet to Station 30 130, <br /> <br /> <br />from whence the N. E. Cor. Seo. 36, T. 3 N., R. 76 W., Sixth Prinoipal Meridian <br /> <br /> <br />bears N. 650 17' E.. a distapce of 7.12l.4 feet. The Granby Pumping Plant <br /> <br /> <br />discharge conduit and the Granby Pump Canal, (Sheet 3, 4, Exhibit C) with a <br /> <br /> <br />oapaoity of 1100 secand feet. extends fran the Pumping Plant in a '1orthaasterly <br /> <br /> <br />direction for a distence of 9353 feet to station 160 149.79. which point is <br /> <br /> <br />the inlet to Shadow Mountain Lake and whioh point bears N. 230 16' 26" W., a <br /> <br /> <br />distance of 3.224.3 feet from the S. E. Cor. Sec. 24. T. 3 N.. R. 76 W., Sixth <br /> <br /> <br />Frincipal Me ridian, sa id line b. ing ..ore particulo rly described on Exhibit C. <br /> <br /> <br />Sheet 3 of 7. which is part of this claim. <br /> <br /> <br />6. Shadow Mountain Lake, (Sheet 4. Exhibit C) is in effect an <br /> <br /> <br />extension of Grand Lake and acts as a conduit to the inlet of the Alva B. Adams <br /> <br /> <br />Tunnel for waters pumped from Granby Reservoir as well as water intercepted from <br /> <br /> <br />tributaries of the Colorado River by Shadow Mountain Lake and Grand Lalal. The <br /> <br /> <br />two mentioned lakes also serve as a storage and regulating reservoir with the <br /> <br /> <br />water surface normally maintained between elevations 6366 and 6367 which will <br /> <br /> <br />provide a combined active capacity of 1841 acre feet.
