Wet-mix process: Consists of thoroughly mixing all the ingredients except the <br />accelerator if used, feeding the mixture into the delivery equipment, delivering the <br />mixture by positive displacement or compressed air to the nozzle, and then jetting the <br />mixture from the nozzle at high velocity onto the surface to receive the shotcrete. <br />Accelerator shall be added to the mixture at the nozzle. <br /> <br />1.04 SUBMITTALS <br /> <br />A. Submit the following in accordance with Section 01330 - Submittals. <br /> <br />B. Mix proportions: Submit proportions of water, cementitious materials, sand, coarse <br />aggregate, and admixture. <br /> <br />C. Resume of nozzlemen showing qualifying experience. <br /> <br />D. Include a hazard analysis for all shotcrete operations; engineering controls, <br />protective clothing, eye protection, respiratory protection, and air sampling as <br />necessary to check the effectiveness of the control program. <br /> <br />1.05 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> <br />Prequalification of Nozzle men <br /> <br />I. The Contractor shall submit resumes, including experience for the last 5 years, <br />demonstrating that the proposed nozzlemen are experienced in the application of <br />shotcrete. <br /> <br />2. No shotcrete shall be applied to the work until resumes for nozzlemen have been <br />approved by the COR. <br /> <br />E.
