<br />00239] <br /> <br />PREFACE <br /> <br />Representatives from the seven Colorado River Basin states attended <br /> <br /> <br />a planning meeting in Denver, Colorado on August 4, 1976. The meeting was <br /> <br /> <br />organized by the North American Interstate Weather Modification Council <br /> <br /> <br />after a request from one of the Council's affiliate members -- The South- <br /> <br /> <br />western Water Conservation District of Colorado. <br /> <br />The second planning meeting was held in Denver on February 23, 1977 <br /> <br /> <br />for the purpose of determining the methods required to obtain appropriations <br /> <br /> <br />for the Demonstration Project of the Bureau of Reclamation. <br /> <br />, I <br /> <br />J <br /> <br />The remarks herein are a compilation of the notes taken at the meetings <br /> <br /> <br />by Julia Mewes and Grant Johnson of Human Ecology Research Services of <br /> <br /> <br />Boulder, Colorado and material taken from the tape recordings at the meet- <br /> <br /> <br />ings, Also, some participants have provided inputs into the publication via <br /> <br /> <br />a review process.
