Task 1.07 . Physical Characteristic Database

Introduction

1. Objectives

. To refme, implement, and populate the database design from Phase I for storing
phy~ica1 characteristics of basin features with the data types identified for Year 1
(anticipated data types and database population requirement~ arc shown in
Tables 1.07.1 and 1.07-2). Physical characteristics database requirements are
discusse<l in Teclmical Memorandum 1.07-1.

. To populate the physical characteristics database' with data for the CRDSS
prototype. Tile physical charlll;teristics database will be populated, at the
minlmmn, for the Gunnlson River basin.

2. ASlilumntion,q

. The CRDSS database designed in Phase I will be implemented during Phase IIa
and will be operational to allow population based on the population schedule
snown in Table 1.07-2.

. Development work In Year 1 will focus on the Gunnison River basin. This wUl
allow for the determination of the extent and quality of data available for each
type of data required.

. The data required for this task are available in the public domain,

. The State will have perlonned QAlQC On data provided for CROSS,

. Model DMIs will be developed as paIt of modeling Tasks t.11 through 1. U.

. Model selection and corresponding data requirements will have been delineated
in Tasks Lll through 1.15.
