1&-2 A memo 5-6 page at describes the current (phase IT) operation of the 16
reservoirs, the commendations and a recommended modeling strategy. The
intent of this memo is to serve as a dicussion foundation for finalization ofmodeIing
strategies with the CRDSS management.
Modified "calculated" scenario input data for the 16 reservoirs in the Colorado River
Basin model reflecting changes agreed on with the CRDSS management team.
Documentation of the subtask through a 5-6 page memo and associated changes made
to the on-line documentation. (Add time and dollars for draft review process by
state).

Schedule:
Given Mr. Bethel's 20 hour per week time commitment to the CRDSS Project, it is
anticipated that the above work would be performed over the course of 3 weeks from
February 17 through March 7.

Suhtask LR-2b Reservoir Operations Modifications to Baseline Scenario

Objective.

Modify the "baseline" scenario input files for the Phase IT Colorado River water
resources model to reflect similar changes that were made to the calculated scenario
in subtask 2a above. Document the modifications made to the Baseline scenario.

Note: No changes are anticipated to be made to the "historic" run in which the reservoirs were
operated with historic volume targets.

Scope of Work
2b.l Modify the "baseline" model's input data (in the base model data directories on cando)to
reflect the agreed on operating rules (from subtask 2a). It is anticipated that modifications
to the statemod progrant would not be necessary and that changes would only be made to the
"baseline" scenario input data for the model. Rerun the baseline scenario.
2b.2 Prepare a subtask 2b documentation memo that summarizes the methodology, assumptions
and results. The results of these changes will be summarized at a downstream streamgage
