New lake fisheries will be <br /> <br />created at the Soap Park and Gould Reservoirs. Recommended, flows <br /> <br />for fish will be maintained in Soap and Curecanti Creeks. <br /> <br />Due to the urgency of replacing the Gould Siphons on the <br /> <br />Fruitland Mesa Project this item was approved for construction under <br /> <br />separate drainage and minor construction-type program in FY 1972. <br /> <br />Field design data was collected, specifications issued, <br /> <br />~ <br />n <br /> <br />and a contract awarded to the Tiago Construction Company, Arvada, <br /> <br />Colorado, on June 6, 1972 under their low bid of $362,274. <br /> <br />Notice to proceed was received by the contractor on June 7, <br /> <br />1972.and all work is to be completed in 400 days, or on or before <br /> <br />r <br /> <br />, <br />f <br /> <br />July 12, 1973. The contractor has started his moving-in operations <br /> <br />and ordered his pipe. No actual on the job construction has been <br /> <br />performed. <br /> <br />The contractor anticipates nO trouble in completing the work <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />~ <br />i <br />r <br /> <br />within the required number of days. <br /> <br />The program for FY 1973 includes $516,000 to provide for <br /> <br />payments to the contractor and for general expense in overseeing <br /> <br />construction activities. <br />
