NOTES

As you thumb through this issue of
Peak & Prairie, you will probably no-
tice a few things that seem different. II
is true, things are changing! As always,
calendar &1 events information, along
with activist news, will be found in
Pealt & Prairie We plan to offer a
greater variety of environmental infor-
mation with the hope: of having some-
thing for everyone.
The Pealt & Prairie starr has grown
and been reorganized. Our new staff
includes Galin McGowan as Managing
Editor with Vanessa Austin taking over
as Editor. Gay O'Connor "'ill continue
as CalendarlEvents Editor and Michael
Reis will still be in charge of Advertis-
ing. Karen Knirsch remains Circulation
Manager. Tony Trumbly, Constance
lederer and Gail Spencer have all come
on board to help write, report and edit.
AI the present time, Peak & Prairie
"'ill be published bi-monthly. Due to
previous problems with monthly publi-
cation, the suIT and ex-com commiltee
ha\'e agreed that Peak & Prairie will be
larger, but printed less often.
A new publication. Pt'alt & Prairie
Times has, been creaLed to cover late-

breaking news. On the months that
Peak & Prairie is published, they will
be mailed together in a sort of dual
publication. as this issue is.
We welcome anicles, lelters, art
work and humorous material from any
and all of our readers. In the past, we
have received a suprising number of
submissions which lacked basic infor-
mation about the source or tne author.
It is often necessary to discuss a story
with the person who wrote it, and we
always want to gi\'e credit where credit
is due. Thus, the Peak & Prairir sub-
mission form was created. An)1hing
you send in must be accompanied by
this form (page) or must contain lhe
same information.
One of the strongest goals of the new
Prak & Prairir staff is to pro\-ide edu-
cational and interesting environmental
news (0 our readers. \Ve hope to get
more people involved 10 writing and
reponing stories and to prm.ide a fo-
rum for some lively disscussion of our
members viewpoints. ~10re than anr.
thing, we look forward to serving }.ou,
environmemalists and members of the
Rocky Mountain Chapter. .

.. Even a few
lwurs of
volunteer work
is greatly
appredated. 99
