Water Rights Tabulation

The Water Righls Query dialog can be reached via the Query I Water
Rights Tabulation menu ilem.

This dialog provides the user with the abilily to browse the Division I Waler
Righls Tabulation. Water righls within the tabulation can be selected based
on particular structures, specific administration numbers, decreed amoums
(acre-feel or cfs), as well as use and adjudication types. Any combination of
these selection criteria may be combined 10 form a tabulation query.

6.4.1 Formulating a Query

In order to view data from the Water RighlS Tabulation, the user must
formulate a logical request to be submitted 10 the database. SQL Stalements for the Water Rights
Query dialog all begin with "SELECT all water rights WHERE:",
followed by selection crileria specified by the user. The user may add
selection criteria by using the many imerface items in the dialog. The
SQL query may be lyped direclly into the text box althe lOp of the
dialog, or formulated using the imerface items in the lower portion of
the dialog.

The request can consist of a single condition, or of several conditions
joined by logical operalors such as AND, OR, =, elC. It is importanl
to use the correcl operator, and easy to use the wrong one, creating an
illogical statement For example, it would be incorrecl to formulate a
query such as "SELECT all water rights Where: (WD = 23 AND
10 = 3904) AND (WD = 23 AND 10 = 908)" because there are no

7131194 36
