Separale columns keep track of Natural and
Delivery flow or "colored" water. The third column provides a Total
of the Natural and Delivery columns, and the fourth column identi-
fies Replacement water. The flow columns do nOl track river diver-
sions (discussed below).

To enter flow values into the WIS, double click on Ihe row containing
the flow Slructure of interest This action will bring up Ihe Flow dia-
log.

. - - -- u - -- PlA5P"iCo - -- -. --~----------------'-'-

PI_:

un,..l

IU(TrU,S Otlh

T$Hol

S\ltlS...plin

1100...................10.0

.......10.0

10.0

Comas_tII;

I"
6""; lokajl~ilci;;;;;'1

Rgure 5-5 Edit Information Sheet entries for flow gages using the Flow Dialog.

Natural Flow

Natural Flow describes the flow thai would be in Ihe river absent the
use of the river to deliver waler, in other words, Ihe flow rale of the
river available for diversion by the next waler user in priorily. The
Natural Flow column should also be used 10 record Ihose releases
from reservoirs, transbasin sources, trealment planls, or olher sources
that may be diverted by the next downstream waler user in priority.
SPWRMS will nOl accept typed entries in this column, rather it calcu-
lales Natural Flow values using the formula:

Natural Flow = Total Flow - Delivery Flow

Deliverv Flow

Values in the Delivery Flow column represent waler being delivered
downstream to a specific user. Delivery waler is "colored" and can-
not be diverted in priority Ihe way Natural Flow water can. The

19

7/31/94
