II
..
..
..
.
..
..
..
.
III
~
\.....

RTFLO The subroutine RTFLO(IL,QDVA,RTF) containing three
arguments is called by the main program to lag the return flow QDVA from
irrigation in land use area IL. The flow can be laged over a period of up to
10 months. The return flow RTF is computed by the subroutine taking into
consideration the return flow from the previous 10 months of the simulation.

. RACE The subroutine RACE(L,VL,AR,EL) containing four arguments
is called by the main program to compute reservoir L surface area AR and
elevation EL from the known reservoir end of month volume VL using linear
interpolation of the elevation, area, and volume input data points.

Program Operation
For convenience and economy it is recommended that the Utah Division of
Water Resources users of the Colorado-Utah White River Simulation Program put
it on the Fastrand Mass Storage Unit at the University of Utah Computer Center
1100/60 facility. It is recommended that the data for the 5 streamflow gaging
stations also be put in a data file on the system.
A description of the required input data is shown in the "Input Data
Notation" section of the users manual. A list of the input data by cards
showing the input data fonnat is shown in the "Input Data and Format" section.
Example input data for a simulation run is shown in Appendix A. This
includes the input 1ata deck required for each run and the streamflow data
file on the Fastranc' f1ass Storage Unit. The computer output for the data in
Appendix A is shown in Appendix B. A listing of the program is shown in
Appendix C.

0334

~---.'~.;",:-
