As a result of the ,favorable findings in this report, the project was authorized for construction by Public l.aw 90-537 signed September 30, 1968. The Bureau of Reclamation is ready to initiate the Advance Planning 'Studies preparatory to construction of the project when funds become available. Tentative program schedules provide for the initiation of these studies with $50,000 of contributed funds in F.Y. 1972 followed by federal appropr~ations in F.Y. 1973. The $50,000 fund is available through a combined contribution from the West Divide Water Conservancy District ($20,000), Colorado River Water Conser- vancy District ($10,000), and the Colorado Water Conservation Board ($20,000) to initiate the Advance Planning Studies as soon as the Bureau of Reclamation will accept it. 2
