As a result <br />of the ,favorable findings in this report, the project was authorized <br />for construction by Public l.aw 90-537 signed September 30, 1968. <br /> <br />The Bureau of Reclamation is ready to initiate the Advance Planning <br />'Studies preparatory to construction of the project when funds become <br />available. Tentative program schedules provide for the initiation <br />of these studies with $50,000 of contributed funds in F.Y. 1972 <br />followed by federal appropr~ations in F.Y. 1973. The $50,000 fund <br />is available through a combined contribution from the West Divide <br />Water Conservancy District ($20,000), Colorado River Water Conser- <br />vancy District ($10,000), and the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />($20,000) to initiate the Advance Planning Studies as soon as the <br />Bureau of Reclamation will accept it. <br /> <br />2 <br />
