<br />003178 <br /> <br />Joint Coordination Agreement <br />January 1972, Revised November 1978 <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />General Funding Arrangements <br /> <br />Cooperative flood hazard studies require a non-federal (state, re- <br /> <br />gional, and/or local) contribution of at least 20% of the direct study <br /> <br />costs. The state and local governments can satisfy this requirement by <br /> <br />providing funds or an equivalent value of services such as preparing <br /> <br />base maps and obtaining new aerial photographs, photogrammetry, survey <br /> <br />personnel and printing reports. The cost of preparing and printing <br /> <br />information brochures (optional item) is a non-federal responsibility <br /> <br />but may be considered part of the direct cost of the study. The <br /> <br />remaining costs are federal and are funded subsequent to approval of <br /> <br />the plan of study by the SCS Administrator. <br /> <br />. <br />
