Bertelsen <br /> <br />1949, Minneapolis, Minnesota <br /> <br />Univ. of Minnesota, Institute of Technology - BSCE <br /> <br />Mr. Bertelsen joined KKBt~ in 1972 as a design engineer <br />in the civil department. Prior to joining KKBNA he at- <br />tended the univ. of Minnesota working parttime for En- <br />gineering Consultants Diversified. <br /> <br />Since becoming a part of the KKBNA organization, Mr. Ber- <br />telsen has been responsible for design of sewer and water <br />systems, grading plans, and for the design and construc- <br />tion supervision of roadways, drainage systems and plat- <br />ting. His experience ranges from smaller projects encom- <br />passing 1 to 5 acres, to larger projects of 2,000 acres; <br />and project environments of dense urban areas, open plains, <br />and rugged mountain terrain. <br /> <br />Mr. Bertelsen has gained a great deal of experience in <br />working with the different aspects of drainage require- <br />ments and the treatment problems resulting from storm <br />water. He has been responsible for preliminary drainage <br />investigations for the 220 acre site of Eagle-Vail Filing <br />No.2 near Eagle, Colorado, and has been responsible for- <br />preliminary and final drainage reports, culvert systems <br />and erosion control for the 2,000 acre Genesee Mountain <br />development 10 miles west of Denver, where a very cautious <br />approach to an already delicate environment has been of <br />optimum importance. He was responsible for field investi- <br />gation and design of raodway drainage and roadway drain- <br />age structures on a 12 mile section of roadway near Grand <br />Valley, Colorado for ARCO oil Co. Similar types of ana- <br />lyses were done for an addition to Regis College; a study <br />for an Amoco Chemical industrial storage site; the Gary <br />Operating Company at the Inverness Industrial Park; and <br />an investigation for a downstream owner to study the ef- <br />fects of a proposed channelization by the Cherry Dale Sub- <br />division. <br /> <br />Registration: Professional Engineer - Colorado <br />
