Low streamflows frequently limit diversions during sununer and
autumn months. Exchanges and transfers of water rights are uncommon on this
stream system.

Water Right Priorities - This stream is not actively administered, because water
rights can typically be satisfied during spring runoff months.

Diversions - The division of water resources considers DeJournette Ditch to be
an infrequent diversion. For the 1977 to 1984 period, records show a maximum
diversion of 1.0 cfs from May 10 to May 31, 1984. No diversion records were
available for Massey Ditch, and diversion records are not maintained for the
spring-fed water rights. The Division of Water Resources reports that Dry Creek
usually has no flow by the time it reaches Pot Creek because of the collective
effect of diversions.

Land Status Wit;JJin and UpstreaJIJ of WSA

Privately-owned lands are located upstream from the WSA along the Dry Creek and
its tributaries in the Hoy Flat vicinity. There are no private lands located
within the WSA.

. Green River Tributaries

Hydrologic Characteristics

All tributaries to the Green River within the WSA are ephemeral streams, flowing
only in response to storm events. BLM staff did not analyze hydrologic
characteristics or patterns of water use because there are no diversion which
significantly affect streamflows within the WSA.

47
