<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Executive Summary <br /> <br />Part xx. <br /> <br />This part of the executive summary focuses on the relationship of each wilderness <br />study area to private uses of land and water which occur in the watersheds where <br />the WSA is located. For wilderness study areas which are located midstream in <br />their watershed, information is provided about the availability of water for <br />supporting additional private uses or wilderness values. For WSAs which are <br />located in headwaters areas, water availability was not analyzed. <br /> <br />Readers should refer to the following chapters on each wilderness study area for <br />further details on water and land uses, stream hydrology, water-dependent <br />wilderness values, and maps. <br /> <br />Bull Canyon <br /> <br />Location: Midstream on K Creek; remaining acreage in headwaters. <br />Water Availability: K Creek is fully appropriated. <br />Private Lands Upstream: Extensive acreage in K Creek watershed. <br />Private Lands Inside WSA: None. <br />Private Rights upstream: 2 springs. <br />Private Rights Within WSA: 1 ditch, 1 well. <br /> <br />Willow Creek <br /> <br />Location: Headwaters. <br />Private Lands upstream: WSA shares headwaters with some private parcels in the <br />Willow Creek watershed. <br />Private Lands Inside WSA: None. <br />Private Rights Upstream: None. <br />Private Rights Within WSA: 1 spring, 1 well, 1 livestock tank. <br /> <br />Skull Creek <br /> <br />Location: Headwaters. <br />Private Lands upstream: WSA shares headwaters with some private parcels in Red <br />Wash, Miller Creek, and Skull Creek watersheds. <br />Private Lands Inside WSA: None. <br />Private Rights upstream: None. <br />Private Rights Within WSA: None. <br /> <br />Black Mountain <br /> <br />Location: Midstream on three ephemeral streams. <br />Water Availability: Ephemeral streams -- very limited supply. <br />Private Lands Upstream: Parcels in smith's Gulch watershed. <br />Private Lands Inside WSA: None. <br />Private Rights Upstream: 4 livestock tanks. <br />Private Rights Within WSA: 1 livestock tank. <br /> <br />Windy Gulch <br /> <br />Location: Headwaters on numerous ephemeral gulches. <br />Private Lands upstream: None. <br />Private Lands Inside WSA: 1 parcel along Jordan Gulch. <br />Private Rights Upstream: None. <br />Private Rights within WSA: 1 livestock tank, 1 spring. <br /> <br />7 <br />
