7.0 The Query Menu

7.2.1 Performing a Streamflow Query

To perform a query of streamflow data, first specify the desired time
interval in the Preferences dialog. Then select the gage(s) of interest.
Select multiple gages by holding down the Control key. Select a
range of gages by holding the Shift key down and clicking on Ihe first
and last items in the range. To remove a gage from the list of cur-
rently selected streamgages. single-click on the highlighted item to be
removed.

Next, select the display method. View streamflow records in either
Hydrograph or Tabular form. If you choose to view Real
Time information, your record will be more detailed but will take
longer to load from the server than if you select the Hourly option.
View Dally records only for a long (greater than one week) period.
If you select multiple gages, you can view streamflow data in a Sin-
gle Window, or in separate Multiple Windows.

7.2.2 Hydrograph Display

Once you have displayed a hydrograph you may Export or Print
the graph. The size of the image exponed or prinled depends on the
size of the screen image. If you maximize the screen image of the
graph (by clicking on the "up-arrow" in the upper right corner of the
dialog frame) you also maximize the size of the output image.

Click Export if you want to generate a disk file of your hydrograph.
A File dialog will appear, prompting you to selecl either a birmap
(.bmp) or metafile (.wmf) to write. Use a metafile for highesl resolu-
tion in reports or other documents. Use a birmap if you want to
manipulate the image pixel by pixel using a graphics program like
Paintbrush.

Oick Print to print the hydrograph on your screen directly to your
attached printer.

7.3 Diversions

The Diversion dialog is quite similar to the Streamflow dialog. and provides
the user with daily diversion data. Diversion data are supplied by the district
Water Commissioners via the Water Information Sheet. SPWRMS only dis-
plays total orioritv diversions. Specify the time interval for which SPWRMS
displays diversion data via the Preferences dialog.

7.3.1 Performing a Diversion Query

Display diversion data the way you would streamflow (see Section
7.2). Unlike streamflow data, only daily diversion records are avail-
able, since no more than one value for each diversion strUcture is

mlffi4 ~
