0%139

5.0

5.0 The Edit Menu

The Edit Menu

The Edit menu allows the SPWRMS user to make changes
to the application. These changes may include river administra-
tion data that then become visible to all SPWRMS users as well
as preference changes that are used for client application man.
agement.

5.1 Preferences

Preferences control what information is seen in many
of the other dialogs. When you change preferences,
SPWRMS saves them so that the next time you start the
application your preferences settings remain the same.

By changing the Tune and District settings in the Preferences dialog. you
control your view of the river. From the Preferences dialog you can also
change your Communications settings. To open the Preferences dialog,
choose the Preferences... item from the Edit menu. For funher discus-
sion of the effects of preferences on various SPWRMS dialogs, please see
the discussion of individual dialogs in the later sections.

5.1.1 Time

The time period specified in the Preference dialog determines your
temporal view of the river. For example, if you choose May 1 - May
4, 1994, as your time interval, then all streamflow hydro graphs drawn
will cover this period until you change your time preference. You
have a choice of checking the Past _ H 0 u rs radio button, or the
I nterval radio button. The setting defaults to the past 24 hours.

5.1.2 Districts

The districts selected in the Preference dialog determine for which
districts the application will display data. In the Query/Stream-
flow dialog for example. only gages in the selected districts will be
displayed.

11

7/31/94
