site as the "wettest" of the three by Wesche et al. (1994) supports Dr. Currier's
assessment of the site.
As a result, the Rowe Sanctuary site was the most logical site for
implementation of the recharge basin. This location was characterrzed as having
a "medium" depth to groundwater. The Rowe Sanctuary site is located at the
Lillian Annette Rowe Sanctuary, approximately 10 miles north of Minden,
Nebraska in Buffalo County, The site is located on the south side of a large
island between two channels of the Platte River.
