Actively participated in the Colorado Geographic Information <br />Coordinating Committee throughout the year; <br />· Completed 95% of the Plat Mapping digitizing effort for the State <br />Board of Land Commissioners by June, 1994; <br />· Research was conducted by the DNR GIS User Group for a common <br />base map or grid to be used as a department standard; <br />· A common base map or grid was selected June, 1994; <br />· A Memorandum of Understanding related to data sharing between the <br />BLM and governmental entities statewide was drafted and reviewed <br />by the Attorney General's Office June, 1994; <br /> <br />Wang Migration <br />· Users of the Wang VS100 were moved to a LAN environment <br />throughout the year; <br />· Analysis was conducted to determine the resource requirements <br />necessary to move non-CORIS applications off the VS 100; <br />· A coordinated effort between ITS and five divisions that use the <br />VS300 began, to update the feasibility study for a complete Wang <br />Migration Project. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />T echnicall Administrative Support <br />· The Division of Water Resources continued to explore the possibility <br />of using imaging to augment their GIS efforts; <br />· All divisions participated in a planning exercise to define a department- <br />wide telecommunications infrastructure which will lead to the <br />development of a decision item for FY 95-96; <br />· All divisions participated in a planning exercise to identify a common <br />personal computer platform, for the majority of LAN users, which will <br />lead to the development of a decision item for FY 95-96; <br />· Agreed to provide a secure termination point in the DNR computer <br />room for the General Government Computer Center (GGCC) to install <br />fiber optic cable as a part of a project they are completing; <br />· Began planning to use the fiber optic connection to GGCC as the <br />departments' gateway into the Internet; <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />40 <br />
