Monthly Report San Luis Valley Project Colorado July 1955 Rio Granda Division On July 14, the Preject Manager attended the regular menthly meeting ef the Board ef Directors, San Luis Valley Water Ccnservancy District. The Board spent the evening reviewing Celorado's cemmenta en the Regional Directer's Propoaed Report en the Rio. Grsnde and Weminuche Pass Divisiens ef the preject. The Beard decided ~ to push for a report on the Clcsed Basin Drain which seems to. have premise of being the aeurce ef the largest undeveloped water supply in the Velley. On July 21, Projeot personnel met with efficials ef the Stste of Celerado, ths Commissioner's Denver Office, and the Regienal Office in Denver to. discuss criteria to. be used in Operatien Study l2-R. It was ab'l'oed that the criteria wculd remain the Game aa used in Study 12. On July 28, a Field Day was held at the IAcsca-Hoeper Teat Plota by efficials of Colcrade A & M Callege. Apprcximately 80 farmers and ranchers ef the Velley were in attendancs. By the end of July the Prcject Office had completed Operetion Study No. 12-R and had sent copies af the Study to. the Direotar cf the Colorado. Water Conservaticn Board, the Commiasicner's Denver Office and the Regienal Office for review and comments.
