<br />" <br />, <br /> <br />Monthly Report <br />San Luie Valley Project <br />Colorado <br />May 1955 <br /> <br />l!j,o Grande Division <br /> <br />The reviaioh of the Supplemental Report on the Rio Grande and <br />Weminuohe Pasa Divisions lillS practically oomplete at month's end. <br />The Project Manager assisted with this work in the Regional Offioe. <br /> <br />The report is to be sent out for field level comments on <br />June 1, 1955. <br /> <br />Closed Basin Division <br /> <br />Measurements of the fluotuation of the ground water table <br />were made at selected \'/Ellls during the month. <br /> <br />Preliminary work of gathering material, to be used in a <br />program report on this Division, was acoomplished during the month. <br /> <br />GoneJos Division <br /> <br />The Gate-tender IRIS moved to Platero on May 2, 1955. No <br />operation for flood control was required during the month and none is <br />oontemplated for the season. <br /> <br />General <br /> <br />/ <br /> <br />Windy weather continued throughout the month and belOlf <br />normal temperatures prevailed. Preoipitation during the month was <br />sl1ghtly below normal. <br /> <br />Planting of orops was practically completed during the <br />month. Flood stage hod not been reached on the Rio Grande and <br />Conejos Rivers and it is doubtful if sufficient snow remains in the <br />mountains to create flood stages. <br /> <br />\~ \) ~) <br />\\\\ <br />
