The ~omponents of NED identified in the Yampa and Green River Basins are:

(1) increased or more efficient output of outdoor recreation
services and uses
(2) increased or more efficient production of agricultural products
(3) increased or more efficient production of mineral resources
(4) increased or more efficient hunting and fishing
(5) .increased or more efficient power production

The environment of the Yampa-Green study area possesses outstandingly

remarkable scenic, recreational, geologic, fish and wildlife, historic

and cultural and other similar values. Preservation of these values

for the benefit and enjoyment of present and future generations of the

Standards. "

The componenets of EQ identified in the Yampa and Green River Basins are:

(l) preserve and protect areas of natural beauty and river segments

with wild, scenic, or recreational river characteristics

(2) preserve and protect areas with historic, archeologic, and

cultural value

(3) preserve !lnd protect endangered or threatened wildlife or

vegetation

(4) preserve or enhance air and water quality

(5) preserve freedom of choice to future resource Users by

avoiding irreversible or irretrievable effects
